Mr. Siemer currently handles an active docket of cases in the fields of governmental liability, employment law, general personal injury litigation, premises liability, product liability defense, deceptive trade practices and construction claims. Mr. Siemer is also a certified mediator.
Prior to joining Heard & Medack, P.C. Mr. Siemer was an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Houston Legal Department, Defense Litigation Division, where he defended the City of Houston as well as city employees in civil rights litigation, personal injury cases under the Texas Tort Claims Act, construction claims, premises liability, and cases arising under Title VII. Mr. Siemer has also worked for several law enforcement labor unions representing over 4,000 peace officers in numerous law enforcement agencies in Houston and across Texas in a wide range of job related matters including civil service appeals, arbitration, civil lawsuits (in both state and federal court) administrative proceedings, grand jury investigations and internal investigations.
Mr. Siemer has extensive first chair trial experience in both state and federal court as well as extensive appellate experience in Texas Appellate Courts, Texas Supreme Court and The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
